When most people think about buying diamond rings, the first thing that usually comes to mind is that they are made of platinum or white gold. However, did you know that rose gold is fast becoming a popular choice of metal because of its unusual pinkish hue?
A rose gold engagement ring is the perfect choice for people who want a piece of jewelry that looks distinct and classy. And because rose gold is so versatile (colors available from light pink to amber with proper alloying), jewelers have begun to offer a variety of contemporary and vintage ring designs.
In today’s article, I want to show you some of the best rose gold engagement rings designs available in the market. Let’s get started…

Imagine your loved one wearing this exquisite Verragio Insignia creation. With more than 0.85 ctw of finely selected diamond melees, this ring will shine with an undeniable “Wow!” factor. A delicately crafted halo surrounds the center stone to add additional brilliance.
The Vatche “Felicity” ring is a stylish take on the classic solitaire ring design. Part of White Flash’s Serenity Collection, this ring makes good use of smooth, flowing lines to create a timeless appearance.
A popular design from the Endless Love Collection by Ritani, this rose gold diamond ring has a characteristic halo that sparkles with the bezel set center stone. From the top view, the halo creates an illusion of a single large diamond when seen from a distance.
Tacori has infused a modern and yet conventional feel to this ring. Melee diamonds line the side profile of highly polished rose gold shanks. The most notable feature of this ring lies in the “blooming” crown of spotlight enhancers which create a twinkling effect.
This effeminate Simon G designer ring has a center stone that is encircled by a gleaming cushion shaped diamond halo. With a row of diamonds lining each side of the shank, the melee stones add a striking shimmer to the entire piece.
The Anita Halo utilizes a cushion shaped halo for the center stone and creates a soft touch to the ring’s appearance. As a final touch to the intricate ring details, a heart shaped motif is also carved into the side profile of the ring.
Bold and modern with a twist of vintage inspiration, this sophisticated ring design boasts a tapered shank with french set melees. A magnificent gift of love, this ring is guaranteed to make heads turn.
This captivating ring features Brian Gavin’s signature “Truth” head and has decorated micro pave set diamonds along its shanks. This ring design from Brian Gavin is one of my personal all-time favorite.
This 3 stone rose gold diamond ring features a crown-like setting and has elegant sweeping lines to showcase the diamonds. With a minimalist focus on design, the streamlined shanks makes the ring stands out.
Today, rose gold has made an impressive comeback due to a growing trend for unique and vintage looking jewelry. Its romantic hue looks great on most skin tones and offers consumers an alternative look for high-end luxurious products.

I’m deep into the process of creating an engagement ring for my girlfriend. The below picture is of a setting offered on Brilliant Earth that I really love. However, after further research I’m not comfortable buying the actual stone from them, and they are unable to work with stones from other sources. The pear shape stone in the image is the cut I’m looking for.
I’ve gotten a quote from a local jeweler for $1500 to recreate the setting in rose gold, including the sapphires. I’ve also thought about using emeralds in place of the sapphires, though the local jeweler seemed to think there was a greate chance of damage. Is that a reasonable price for the setting? And do you think the advice on emeralds vs sapphires is sound?
For reference I’ve looked at the rose gold setting options on Blue Nile and James Allen for pear shapes and haven’t found anything that’s really caught my eye like the picture. Rose gold is one aspect I’m 100% certain she prefers.
I’ve gotten some stone recommendations from another independent site, and I will be requesting ASET images from once I’ve narrowed them down a bit further. All of the stones are GIA certified and have 360 viewing on either Blue Nile or James Allen. I noticed that Blue Nile is not recommended in your articles, but with the recent addition of video for many of their stones do you consider them a good source?
For reference I’m looking at pears in the $1500-$3000 range (trying to stay under $2500 if possible). Generally this has landed me in the 0.7-0.9ct range.
Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer!
Blue Nile has become a recommended vendor and had passed my mystery shopping tests recently.
Both sapphires and emeralds as sidestones are perfectly fine. It depends on your preferences. If you like this setting, my recommendation is to get the ring from Brilliant Earth. I doubt your jeweler can recreate the ring to the kind of standards that BE offers.
https://www.brilliantearth.com/Willow-Ring-With-Sapphire-Accents-White-Gold-BE156S-1152891/ is a unique setting and BE specializes in stuff like these.
With Brilliant Earth, there are actually well cut pears in their inventory. It just takes more experience to find them. These are two that are well cut and I personally like the I diamond as it offers great value for money and complements the rose gold setting nicely.

Do you have a more educational article on rose gold engagement rings compared to other previous metals? I am currently looking at this halo ring.
I like the look of 14K rose gold rings and they are more budget friendly than Platinum, but I am having a difficult time finding out how it will wear over time, the maintenance it needs compared to other precious metals, and if it would be a good idea to make the head or just the prongs to be made of platinum or white gold for better security. I also want either a rose gold or platinum wedding band but don’t know how either will physically affect the engagement ring as I wear them together.
Thank you in advance.
Thanks for compiling this list of the best rose gold engagement rings. I particularly love the vintage rose gold ring designs from their 810 collection as they are well thought out and striking to look at. I do like that they offer the option to design and customize unique looking rose gold rings. What do you think of their craftsmanship standards and their prices for their settings?
Brian Gavin’s 810 collection is one of the best in the industry when it comes to a fusion between modern and antique rose gold engagement rings. I’ve seen a number of their 810 rose gold rings in person and I can tell you I’m very impressed. These settings are made with superlative standards and the tiny details like milgrain and fine polishing are all expertly done. Brian Gavin’s settings are a little more expensive but the small increase in cost is well worth the product you are getting.
